The Sportland Tea Co. makes custom blends of of all natural and organic green tea and herbs. And yes, as many have asked, it IS gluten free. Below you’ll find information regarding our blend and the associated health benefits of each ingredient.
We use several organic herbs to boost the natural performance enhancing aspects of our tea, as well as provide several ‘protective layers’ for the body in our beverages. By leveraging the natural health benefits of the herbs, we can help increase an athlete's endurance, speed their recovery time, and help them power through their workouts.

Organic Matcha Green TeaWith a higher caffeine content than most regular green teas, matcha green tea powder has nearly 300% more antioxidants than traditional green tea. By weight, matcha powder has more antioxidants than blueberries, spinach, and pomegranates. When you ingest the whole powdered leaf, the body is able to absorb a much higher potency of catechins, and polyphenols. But what does that mean? It means that your body is able to more efficiently use it’s energy resources when called upon in athletic performance. Catechins help increase fat loss via thermogenesis, or in basic terms, they help burn fat for energy instead of muscle.

CayenneAt Sportland, we love spicy everything, but cayenne is actually an important ingredient in our tea for a big reason: it increases the carbohydrate oxidation in the body. When an athlete is drawing on their energy resources, cayenne helps the fat in their system be used before pulling from other much needed reserves.

CinnamonCinnamon is kind of a wonder spice: it regulates blood sugar, reduces cholesterol, and it’s a natural pain reliever. To be honest, though, we add it in to our blends because it tastes good.

Cloves
Due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, clove oil can reduce inflammation and alleviate joint pain, muscle aches and arthritis pain. Both cloves and clove oil have been found to be very effective for the respiratory system due to their expectorant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Cardamom
Packed with minerals like potassium, calcium and magnesium, cardamom is good for your heart by helping to regulate heart rate. It also helps lower blood pressure!
Vanilla Powder
Vanilla is a powerful antioxidant, and helps to fight inflammation in respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems.
Yerba Maté
Provides energy without causing the usual coffee jitters. It helps to keep you alert and provides your body with 24 vitamins and minerals and 15 amino acids. Also helps digestion, increases cardiovascular oxygenation during athletic activity, and helps lower blood pressure.
MCT Oil
MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) are saturated fats that are easier to digest than the more common LCTs (long-chain triglycerides). They raise your metabolism and are burned as fuel instead of being stored as fat. If you have heard of adding coconut oil to your coffee for extra energy and fat-burning effects, MCT is the reason that works.
